Hi, I’m Amy Paradis. I traded in the urban Montréal traffic for laid back living in Clare, Nova Scotia, in 2016. My artwork often reflects elements of my adopted home in a variety of mixed media, capturing life in the fields, forests, beaches and waters that surround me. The topic of the local Acadian dialect, or acadjonne, often comes up in my work as an ode to the unique and culturally significant French language of la Baie Sainte-Marie.
You can find me entertaining my two boys, getting involved in my community, sketching out my feelings and enjoying nature.
